Look at the map. … London Zoo lies almost in the heart of London: do you recognize? This is London Eye, this is Big Ben. And this is … the famous Buckingham Palace, the place, where the Queen of England lives. And this is London Zoo where many different kinds of animals live. You see that it is situated in the northern part of Regent`s Park.

London Zoo is the oldest scientific zoo in the world. Лондонский зоопарк – это старейший научный зоопарк в мире. It was opened in London on the 27^th of April in 1828. First it was used for scientific studies of animals. It was opened for visitors in 1847.

Today it houses over 760 different kinds of animals. It means that London Zoo is the home for more than 19000 animals. It is the only zoo in London where you can see big animals such as gorillas … and giraffes…

The Zoo is divided into many different areas: Gorilla Kingdom, … Tiger Territory, …Reptile House …which you can remember from the Harry Potter movie,… and many others. …

Explore the “Into Africa” area. Here you can come face to face with some of Africa's most unusual animals: zebras and hunting dogs.

In Aquarium you can learn more about the sea life.

Try “Meet the Monkeys” exciting walk with no boundaries between the animals and the visitors.

Make sure you don't miss feeding time at the Penguin Beach. You have never seen these amazing birds so close.
