Today in the lesson we will:

● revise the numbers from 21 to 100;

And

● put the knowledge into practice.

Let’s start our lesson!

First of all, look! This is number:

Twenty

For example:

There are twenty windows in this building.

Now look! This is number:

Thirty

For instance:

Linda, you can ask Lora for advice. She has been in the business for thirty years.

Look at the following number!

It’s called:

Forty

For example:

Liam, can you imagine? This well is forty metres deep.

Now look! This is number:

Fifty

For instance:

This river is more than fifty yards wide.

Look! The following number is called:

Sixty

For example:

My grandmother is over sixty years old.

Now look! This number is called:

Seventy

For instance:

This beautiful green dress costs seventy dollars.

Look at the following number!

It’s called:

Eighty

For example:

Boys and girls, look! That deer weights eighty kilograms.

The following number is called:

Ninety

For instance:

Forty plus fifty equals ninety.

Now look! This number is called:

A hundred

For example:

This car park is made for a hundred cars.

Now let’s do the sums.

Look!

If we add 1 to 20, we will get the number 21.

If we add 2 to 20, we will get 22.

If we add 3 to 20, we will get 23.

Now let’s add 4 to 20. The result will be 24.

If we add 5, we will get the number 25.

If we add 6 to 20, we will get 26.

If we add 7, we will get 27.

If we add 8, we will get 28.

And if we add 9 to 20, we will get 29.

Now look!

We can do the same thing with the numbers:

Thirty…

Forty…

Fifty…

Sixty…

Seventy…

Eighty…

And

Ninety…

All these numbers are called “compound numbers”, because they consist of two words.

And… pay attention, please! We need to write all of them using a hyphen.

They are from different countries.

Hello! My name is Mary.

And I collect different toys.

There are sixty-two toys in my collection.

I’ve got bears, balls, toy soldiers, cars, trains, planes, dolls and so on.

I really like my collection.

I think it’s beautiful!
